A competition to design a logo for The Friends of Mirfield Library. The logo to be used on all publicity, flyers, letters, banners, promotions & public displays.
A very simple design is required which should use a maximum of 3 colours + white to be presented for judging on A4 size paper.
The design should be simple and easy to replicate in print and on other surfaces (badges, T-shirts etc) and should reflect the message of the Friends of Mirfield Library –
- Learning and education is for everyone – all ages, all abilities
- Together we are stronger
- A library is not a luxury it’s a necessity of life.
- A library is not just about books, it’s about a safe community space for people to come together to learn and grow.
There are 2 sections
- Age 7- 11 – Winner £20
- Age 12- 18 – Winner £25
The judge will be well-known local artist Richard Gawthorpe
All designs will be on public display in Mirfield Library. All designs to be delivered to Mirfield Library before the closing date Friday 8th May 2015. Judging will take place 9th May 2015
All designs to be signed with name, age and address + contact phone number on reverse. By entering the design competition the designer has understood and agreed, that the winning design may be used to promote the Friends of Mirfield Library Campaign and there is no expectation of reward or further payment. The design becomes the property of The Friends of Mirfield Library. Multiple entries not acceptable, they will be disqualified – only one design per person. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be notified in person, listed in the Library, on the Friends of Mirfield website and editorial copy will be submitted to the local newspapers.
